Newsletter: Term 2, Week 5
From the Acting Principal's Desk:
Confirmation
Congratulations to all our students who will be confirmed by Bishop Paul this Sunday at 9.00am in our parish church. Thank you to the families, Miss Jess and Fr Justin for assisting the students with their preparation.
Baby news
Congratulations to our staff member, Kate Snow and her family on the birth of their son, Darcy, earlier this week. Kate and Darcy are both doing well.
Illnesses/ COVID
There are a large number of unwell children and staff at the moment, with both COVID and the flu. It is important that children stay home if they are unwell, so that illnesses are not readily passed on to others.
The procedures for children who test positive to COVID are as follows:
Parents/carers should inform the school by phone or written notification if a student tests positive to COVID-19 (via a PCR or rapid antigen test).
Students who report a positive result are recommended to isolate for a minimum of 5 days and not attend school until their symptoms have resolved.
Uniform
Just some clarification re school uniform:
If the school soft shell jacket is worn, students do not need to wear the school V-neck jumper or rugby top underneath. However, if an alternate jacket is worn, the school jumper must be worn as well. Soft shell jackets can be worn both inside and outside the classroom.
